End of August in the South of France for a nudist holiday

My nudist holiday destination is always called “Oasis-Leucate”.
I’ve been going here to relax for many years now. It’s much more relaxed than Cap d’Agde, and I can relax here 24 hours a day, completely naked.

No parties, you don’t always have to style yourself, here you can be the way you want to be. The focus here is not on “seeing and being seen” as in the huge complex near Agde, but on the naturist idea.
My distance is about 1200 kilometres. Sometimes it’s harder, sometimes easier. But every time I’m happy when I finally make it and the name “Leucate” appears on the exit 40. The toll is now about 150 euros for the outward and return journey. Fuel costs almost 2 euros everywhere in France, and even more on the motorway. Unfortunately, rental cars are so expensive at the moment. Even cheap airfares are of no use. I can get to Perpignan and back for 80 euros, but then the smallest rental car costs 600 euros for 2 weeks.

This time the outward journey was an adventure: up to Lyon everything went smoothly, but beyond it became 42 degrees on the motorway at times.

It was impossible to stop for a break, just don’t leave the air-conditioned car! Thank God there was a lot of traffic, but there were no traffic jams, so I was able to drive through quickly.

Finally arrived ! Clothes off ! Blinds pulled up ! Holiday begins.

Here at the sea it was 33 degrees. If there is a light breeze, you can stand it. Today it is a bit overcast at first and the air is still.
I’ve been here for 5 days and haven’t even unpacked my travel bag yet. This time, you can sit naked in the restaurant in the evening, and people make good use of it. I am surprised at some of the ladies who wear very sexy outfits in the evening.
The no-smoking signs on the beach are only partially respected. Opinions are divided about this measure. My main concern is the cigarettes that some people simply leave in the sand.

It’s so hot that I can’t stand being on the beach all day. At lunchtime, I hide away in my flat and take a siesta.

I don’t feel like leaving the resort in this heat, because I have to get dressed. In the meantime, there are 3 restaurants in the area that can be easily reached on foot. The nicest place to sit is the restaurant directly on the beach in front of the Aphrodite complex. There was an African evening yesterday. The music was not my taste, but the food was delicious. Then there is still the Palmerai at the Oasis pool and the restaurant in the Centre Commercial Aphrodite / chez Katja (formerly Barbara).
The prices are not cheap, but German prices in gastronomy are slowly approaching. Everyone has to find out for themselves where they like it best.

I will stay here at Oasis for a little longer than a week. After that, I’m going home again. Here, too, the weather is supposed to get a bit more unsettled now. The big heat is over and the wind is coming back.
